Central Jersey exists, and New Jersey wouldn’t exist without it.

The existence of everything revolves around its central point. The middle. The core. Like the center of the human being, the core is the body’s main power source. It gives stability. Power. Balance. Your core grounds you. ‘Brace your core’. ‘Engage your core’. ‘Flex your core’. ‘Stabilize your core’. All different phrases, only to say the same thing. 

That’s why Central Jersey doesn’t only exist, it’s the soul of the state. It’s what we’re known for. The crossroads of the American Revolution. Even in an isolated bicep or shoulder exercise, you're bound to injure yourself with a disengaged core. It’s part of a larger movement system. Every piece moves, but they all rely on the core as the base of their strength. The invention of the light bulb. Rutgers, the birthplace of American football. The first higher education institution for women in the United States. We ground ourselves in our roots, and we know our history. It supports your spine in ways that are unimaginable. There’s no way to direct yourself North or South if you weren’t somewhere in the middle. North Jersey is the want-to-be New York City, and South Jersey doesn’t have much going on.

But Central Jersey? 

We have our own personality. 

There’s got to be a meeting point, and we are that intersection. We’re loud and we take pride in everything we put forward. or pretend it doesn’t exist, it never invalidates its existence. It’s still there. 

And it still grounds you. 

In every move, you rely on it. And next time you hear someone throw shade on Central Jersey, just know they wish they had that solid of a core. It’s the essence of existence. It’s the most powerful part of the system. 

And it’s the best place to be.

Our energy comes from the center, and radiates outward. Would America have won if its center hadn't been so strong? Would we have the same richness in culture and pride we have today?

Every universe has its center. And that center is Central New Jersey.
