Concept

In many cultures, the camel has always been a symbol of endurance, patience, and strength. Through tourism, the camel has become a symbol of the“exotic”and the Oriental East. The goal of these camel portraits is to take the symbol of the camel far from the realm of tourism, but rather to depict individuality and uniqueness through portraiture.

Final Portraits

The portraits were hung and framed and are on display at CSB on the second floor. There are also small photos displayed to take away with each of the camel’s portraits and the explanation of the project on the back.
